The Beast of Millhaven
The Beast of Millhaven is the example project that ships with StoryFlow Editor. It's a fully playable RPG-lite adventure designed to showcase what the tool can do and give new users a hands-on reference for building their own stories.
You arrive at the village of Millhaven to find it under siege by a cave troll lurking in the nearby ruins. Elder Aldric, the village leader, asks for your help. From there you're free to explore at your own pace. Buy weapons and supplies from the Merchant, keeping an eye on your gold. Visit Mara at the inn for rumors, rest and ale. Or head straight into the dungeon to face the beast.
The project demonstrates a wide range of StoryFlow Editor features, from branching dialogue and character portraits to inventory management, a merchant shop, quest progression, background music and turn-based combat. It also makes use of reusable utility scripts, showing how to keep larger projects organized with modular flows.
Everything is built entirely with StoryFlow Editor's visual scripting. No code, no plugins, no external tools. This project is available as a template when creating a new project. Select "Example Project" to get started.
